Happy August, friends! I have been so excited to share with you our latest project reveal. We had the opportunity to work with Johnston Homes on this classic, new construction project in Town at Trilith, and I just love how it turned out. There’s so much to show here, so let’s get right to it!
The Kitchen
The marble mosaic backsplash that finds its way to the ceiling is the star of the show in the kitchen, creating a dramatic statement right when you walk in. We chose a classic, curvy vent hood design using Sherwin Williams Iron Ore to tie in the open shelving and interior doors. And, I would be remiss if I did not mention the pendants. These are the other stars of the show, for sure! The aged brass detail on the base, the oversized linen shade, and dark stripes that tie back to the vent hood and other dark elements - so good.
As an added bonus, we had the pleasure of partnering with 180 Pure Home to style the space with their elevated tabletop, kitchen, and barware products.
The Powder Room
Right off the kitchen is the powder room. We carried over the same color palette as the kitchen to create visual continuity. The deep, rich stained wood vanity stands as a statement piece, adding a bit of warmth to the space. Above the vanity hangs an arched mirror paired with a two-toned, spherical pendant, adding a unique and modern touch. We chose a brick herringbone pattern for the floor and decorative molding detail on the walls to connect with the timelessness of the home.
The Fireplace
We opted for a sophisticated, simple design for the fireplace. The smooth, clean lines make it a nice, but understated focal point for the living area.
The Primary Bathroom
The color palette of the primary bathroom embraces the classic trio of black, white, and brass. The crisp, white shower wall tile in a vertical stack pattern paired with a matte black mosaic pan tile creates a tailored, high-contrast moment. We love the thin metal trim around the niche, making for a subtle statement. The Visual Comfort vanity sconces, designed by Kelly Wearstler, make for a contemporary twist with the textured gold finish and white glass.
The Guest Bathroom
Y’all know I love a punch of green – it’s a neutral in my opinion! This herbal, glossy porcelain shower tile was so fun to work with, yet it still creates a sophisticated vibe. We chose a neutral, hexagon floor tile and an aged brass pendant that looks seemingly held in place by a knotted metal rope, both creating a whimsical and memorable touch to the space for guests.
This was such a fun project, and it was a pleasure to watch it all come together so well. If you have an upcoming new build or renovation project, we would love to hear from you!
